Save the Arts

During these uncertain times Ashley has been finding new ways to connect with artists virtually. She has partaken in a number of projects and has been creating her own work.

Celebrity Equniox 2020 - Specialty Dancer - Celebrity Cruise Entertainment

Ashley spent seven weeks in the Royal Caribbean Studios in North Miami where she learned 3 production shows and 3 theme nights. She boarded the ship on February 29th, 2020 and completed 2 out of 3 weeks of install before the ship was halted due to the outbreak of the pandemic: Covid-19. What started as a one month hiatus without guest aboard, turned into 72 days stuck at sea, isolation to a guest cabin, 5 ship transfers and 0 ports seen. She arrived home safely on May 24th, 2020 on a Canadian Embassy Flight from Barbados. During this time she got creative and explored some new choreography and ideas through dance, movement and editing.

Charlottetown Festival 2017

This was Ashley's first golden summer on the island. She played the role of Tillie Boulter in Anne of Green Gables. The Festival has a huge history to it's name. When walking down the rehearsal and backstage halls, it is filled with memories of the photos and names of every past performer. A lot of familiar faces, teachers, role models and people who have transitioned from performer to part of the creative team have walked those halls. It's a magical place to work for and indeed she fell in love with the island in the short four months.
